Debbie Wasserman Schultz Turns Her Back on Floridians, Votes Against Pro-Growth Policies Backed by Voters

Updated: Aug 8, 2025

New polling from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce makes it crystal clear: Americans want policies that boost paychecks and grow the economy. But South Florida’s own Debbie Wasserman Schultz voted no on the One Big Beautiful Bill — a package filled with popular, pro-worker, pro-business reforms.

While Floridians are demanding economic relief and common-sense tax policy, Wasserman Schultz chose to stand with her far-left allies in Washington:

  • 65% support permanently extending the 2017 tax cuts

  • 71% say they’re more likely to support candidates who vote to make those cuts permanent

  • 67% back permanent R&D deductions

  • 62% support full expensing of capital investments

  • 64% support extending the business interest deduction permanently

Wasserman Schultz’s vote is just the latest example of how out of touch she’s become with the people she’s supposed to represent.

“Debbie Wasserman Schultz had the chance to stand with workers and small businesses, but instead she sided with the radical left. That’s not leadership — that’s betrayal,” said a spokesperson for America’s Renewal PAC.
